Lomond Park Ladies - Welcome to 2010 Season!
Ladies 2010 Season
Ladies Night Tennis Practice – begins on Tuesday 2nd March at 6.30pm.
All ladies and junior girls welcome! In the run up to the league matches, the priority will be to try out some team partnerships so please do make sure you come along if you’d like to be considered for a team. Our Ladies Teams are nicely spaced out this year ie we are in Leagues 3, 4, 5 and 6.
After Ladies Night Tennis Practice on Tuesday 2nd March at 8pm, there will be a Social “Warm up” in the Clubhouse. We are planning a “Pot Luck” Supper ie everyone to bring something plus a bottle of wine or soft drink and we’ll see what arrives! If tennis is rained off, the get-together will still be on – an ideal opportunity to arrange some games with other players! If you can’t make tennis practice but can make the “social”, do come along. Let me know if you are planning to come along - so I can make sure we have enough wine glasses.
Ladies Group Coaching – there will again be some Ladies Group Coaching in March and April – see calendar for details. Judith Law is liaising with our club coaches (Neil and Dave) on this and will be in touch shortly with further details.
League Matches – will run for 10 weeks from 20th April until 24th June
With 4 teams in the leagues, there’ll be plenty of opportunity for competitive tennis. Do please try to keep Tuesdays and Thursdays free in your diary for this 10 week period and we’ll let the teams know which days they are playing on as soon as we can.

As your 4 captains approach their 3rd year of duties, we are looking for some new blood to get involved in some captaining duties. If you think you might be interested, do please get in touch - we'd love to hear from you! Thanks.
Ladies Teams – End of Season Dinner
All team players – please do keep Friday 25th June free for the popular end of season dinner. More details to follow in due course but keep the date in your diary if you’d like to come along! (ALL Lomond Park Ladies invited!) Venue: Trinity Bowling Club.
Other things…
Other events that will take place later in the season include the Inter Club Singles and the Winter Mixed Doubles League, as well as the Veterans Ladies team. We'll keep you posted on all of this through our new website. We'll also use this to update you on match results and upcoming events.
After all the snow we’ve had over the last few weeks, here’s hoping we have a gloriously sunny tennis season! Fingers crossed!
